Our Autism Waiver Services
High Quality Care provides several services through Maryland’s Autism Waiver program.
Services are based on individual needs and the participant’s authorized plan of care.
Therapeutic Integration (TI)
Therapeutic Integration is designed to help children develop and strengthen skills that support participation in everyday life.
Our approach is individualized to the child. We focus on practical goals, meaningful activities, and opportunities for children to use their skills in real-life situations.
The goal is not simply to complete an activity. The goal is to help a child become more comfortable, capable, and confident while participating in everyday experiences.
Intensive Therapeutic Integration (ITI)
Some children need a greater level of support to work toward their goals.
Intensive Therapeutic Integration provides more intensive support based on the child’s individual needs and authorized services.
We work with families to understand what matters most to the child and help create opportunities for learning, participation, and development.
Our focus remains on the whole child and on building skills that can carry over into everyday life.
Intensive Individual Support Services (IISS)
Children sometimes need additional individualized support to participate safely and successfully at home and in the community.
Our Intensive Individual Support Services are designed around the child’s specific needs and goals.
Support may focus on areas such as:
- Building independence
- Developing daily living skills
- Increasing participation in community activities
- Supporting communication and social interaction
- Developing routines
- Increasing confidence with everyday activities
- Supporting the child’s ability to participate at home and in the community
Every child has different strengths and challenges, so services are individualized rather than treated as a standard program.
Respite Care
Caring for a child with additional support needs can be rewarding, but it can also be demanding.
Respite care provides families with temporary relief while giving the child an opportunity to receive appropriate support from a trained caregiver.
We understand that asking for help does not mean you are doing less for your child.
Sometimes, having someone dependable step in for a little while gives parents and caregivers the opportunity to rest, handle responsibilities, spend time with other family members, or simply recharge.
Families need care, too.
Family Consultation
Parents know their children better than anyone.
Family Consultation gives families an opportunity to receive support and guidance related to their child’s individual needs and goals.
We believe families should be active participants in the process. Our goal is to work alongside parents and caregivers—not talk over them.
We encourage open communication, practical conversations, and strategies that can make sense for your family’s everyday life.
